FAQ's

Who should attend this course?
This course is ideal for professionals involved in automotive product development, cybersecurity management, risk assessment, and compliance.
Do I need prior experience or knowledge of cybersecurity to take this course?
While prior experience in systems or product development is helpful, the course is designed to introduce key concepts from the ground up. A basic understanding of automotive systems and standards (e.g., ISO 26262) can enhance your learning experience.
What does ISO/SAE 21434 cover that ISO 26262 does not?
ISO 26262 focuses on functional safety (random hardware/software faults), while ISO/SAE 21434 addresses intentional threats like cyberattacks. This course helps you understand how both standards can work together to achieve robust product safety and security.
Will this course help us meet the UNECE R155 and R156 regulations?
Yes. The course covers both the ISO/SAE 21434 standard and the key elements of UNECE WP.29 regulations R155 (Cybersecurity Management System) and R156 (Software Update Management System) to help ensure regulatory compliance.
Is there an exam or certification at the end of the course?
Yes. A certification exam is offered at the end of the course. Participants who pass the exam will receive an ISO/SAE 21434 Cybersecurity Engineer Level 1 certificate, with options to progress to Levels 2 and 3 as they gain experience and complete additional casework.
